Marty Roenigk Memorial

It is with deep regret that the board and staff of Main Stage recognize the untimely and tragic passing of Marty Roenigk. Both Elise and Marty have been cornerstones for Main Stage through many years of service and support. We offer our thoughts as well for Elise’s recovery. The family has asked that memorials be made in Marty’s name to Main Stage under the Martin Roenigk Memorial Fund. Offerings may be sent directly to Main Stage at P.O. Box 17, Eureka Springs, AR 72632. You may reach Gary Andrews with any questions at 479-981-1636.

Main Stage Creative Community Center Summer 2009 Theater Workshop

Main Stage Creative Community Center has announced their summer 2009 theater workshop and production. Chris Rose, youth theater director, has drawn upon a strong cadre of Eureka professional artists to join and mentor the youth performers this season.

Titled "Art Evolved" this unique eight week workshop will focus on individuality and artistic expression through seven different areas of art: visual, photo, dance, puppetry, set design, pottery and live performance. Local luminaries, acting as "muses of the arts" and whose performance or works will appear in the production, include Valerie Damon, George Meyer, Mary Springer and Miss Melanie (just to drop a few names).

Written for ages eight years old and above this year's project will start on June 15 and run Monday through Friday from 10AM to 3PM each day for eight weeks finishing with two performances at The Gym on August 7 and 8. Lunch is included and tuition is only $25 per week per student. Early registration is recommended as space is limited. For more details, contact Vicki Rose at Main Stage, 479-253-8060.
